| A-CLUB was founded in 2003 by 3 friends
who hiked and biked Beijing extensively. They began taking visitors
with them, and by word of mouth, the A-CLUB grew. To accomodate friends
and visitors from around the world, DOWNTOWN BACKPACKERS was opened
in June 2004. For a fraction of what travel agencies and tour companies
charge, visitors can now stay and experience the best of Beijing and
its environs. Today it continues to grow, and the more than 5,000
visitors have hiked the wall with A-CLUB.
